 Licensed Clinical Psychologist
About Me

I am an experienced psychologist who has been helping clients for over 15 years.  Licensed in Nevada and California, my credentials meet the highest standards of training and service.  I received my Masters of Education (Ed.M.) at Harvard University and my Doctorate (Ph.D.) at the University of Chicago where my dissertation was about how people form judgments and make decisions.  My post-graduate training in Clinical Psychology is from Columbia University in New York City.  Each of these universities rank in the top five in the United Stated, according to a well known national survey, and their programs have been accredited by the American Psychological Association (APA), a national organization that oversees professional standards in training and practice.

My clinical internship was performed at RAMS, a community mental health center in San Francisco and APA accredited training site and, then, worked as the Project Director for a National Institute of Drug Abuse (NIDA) funded study examining the influence of culture on drug use at UCSF.  In Los Angeles, I worked at several highly regarded agencies, including the Child Family Guidance Center, an APA accredited internship site, where I was a treating as well as a supervising psychologist.  Prior to coming to Las Vegas, I was the Director of Clinical Services and Chief Psychologist at a multi-cultural community mental health clinic affiliated with the Los Angeles County Department of Mental Health and the LA Unified School District.

Presently, my areas of expertise are in Autism Spectrum Disorder (Aspergers and Autism), Anxiety (OCD, Generalized Anxiety, and Social Anxiety), ADHD, and Psycho-Educational and Psycho-diagnostic testing and assessment. I have consulted with the San Andreas Regional Center in CA after working at the Desert Regional Center in Las Vegas for 9 years, where I was a Licensed Psychologist primarily working in the area of Autism and other developmental disorders, and in 2014, I started full-time private practices in Palo Alto and Las Vegas.  I approach treatment from cognitive-behavioral and psychodynamic perspectives, depending on the problem. I treat children, adolescents and adults, often with the involvement of the family, especially with child clients.
